Co-op students remain eligible with a letter from an accredited College or University. Students enrolled in on-line courses and apprenticeship programs do not apply.

Banff Sunshine Village REFUND POLICY- Protect Yourself
- New for the 2020/21 Winter Season, full refunds will be issued for any unused season passes at any point during the season, less a $45 admin fee
-There will be NO REFUNDS on USED season pass purchases unless the refund option is purchased at the time of pass purchase
-The refund option is non-refundable
-The refund option is $50.00(+GST) for single Adult/Senior/Youth/Midweek passes, $90.00+GST) for Family passes and $20(+GST) for Child passes
-The refund option is not available for Corporate Season passes, Reserved Parking passes, Super Senior passes, Tiny Tiger passes, Sun Passes, or Spring passes
Refund Option requests will be considered only for the following reasons:
Medical- A doctor’s certificate must be presented stating the date of injury & first treatment, type of injury, and estimated time of recovery before alpine skiing/snowboarding can be resumed. Medical conditions and injuries must restrict the user from skiing/snowboarding for at least 30 consecutive days from the injury date. Pre-existing injuries or medical conditions and intentional self-injury are NOT covered by the Refund Option.
Employment Transfer- The employment transfer must be within the same company. An employer’s letter must be presented stating the location, start date, and length of transfer. The pass holder may not have changed employers between the date of season pass purchase and the date of application for refund. Employment transfers must restrict the user from skiing/snowboarding at SSV for 30 consecutive days. The pass holder must move their principal residence outside of Alberta. Pass holders who change employers, or voluntarily leave the area for work or travel are not covered under the Refund Option.
The refund calculation will be based on the date the refund request is received for processing. Refunds Option requests will not be accepted after April 1 of the ski season.
REFUND OPTION CALCULATION:
The amount of pass refund received is based on the passholder usage and the time period in which the pass is refunded. A refund will be calculated based on subtracting the value of the days skied at Banff Sunshine (at our full-day regular priced window rate per day skied) from the passholder's purchase price times the season percentage remaining. The percentage of the refund will be based on the date the claim Refund Option request was received, as shown in the table below. If the difference is negative, the value of the pass will have been used and there will be no refund. All refunds are subject to review and approval by Banff Sunshine Village Management. Banff Sunshine Village reserves the right to amend this Refund Option policy at any time.

PLEASE NOTE: Qualified refunds can take up to six weeks to process once received by Banff Sunshine Village. If you have not yet received your required paperwork (e.g. medical certificate or notice of transfer) your refund will be processed according to the date that your completed application package is submitted. Refunds are paid by cheque and will be mailed to the address supplied on the application form. Banff Sunshine Village will not be held responsible for incorrect mailing addresses and an administration fee will be applied in the event that a cheque needs to be cancelled and reissued to an alternate address.
